Honest Fraxel Laser Skin Treatment Reviews

When deciding on whether to get Fraxel laser skin resurfacing, it is always best to do some research and to see if others obtained positive results. Not surprisingly, the beauty industry says that it's the next great skin care treatment for damaged skin caused by acne, sun damage and the normal course of aging. However, does Fraxel really work as it claims? Fraxel claims that is not as invasive as other ablative skin procedures. This is because Fraxel does not damage the skin 100% in its coverage. Its pinpoint precision allows for the removal of old and damaged skin cells and the stimulation of new collagen. The rest of the skin remains untouched. That is why the downtime is reported to be shorter and patients can go back to work relatively quickly.

The truth of the matter is, it really depends on what type of skin damage you are suffering from and the severity of it. Also, every patient is different. And although unfortunate, some cosmetic dermatologists are just more experienced with performing the Fraxel laser procedure than others. You do not want to be his/her learning experience. This is why it is vital to get a board certified dermatologists who has performed hundreds of Fraxel treatments. It is not enough that a technician performs the treatment on you. Ensure that it is the actual dermatologist who is resurfacing your face.

The people who have reported wonderful and positive results from Fraxel and who would recommend it are patients who have done their homework in finding an experienced dermatologist. They understood the procedure thoroughly and were walked through what to expect in the following days, weeks, and months to come. Any deviations from the norm, they were encouraged to follow up with the dermatologist with questions and provided with supplementary post recovery plans. They were also given realistic expectations. While some Fraxel patients would swear that the procedure is the next best thing to finding the fountain of youth and all their wrinkles disappeared, others were happy that the visibility of their acne scars was now less prominent. On the flip side, it would not be realistic to find everyone happy with the Fraxel procedure and some patients have stated that Fraxel caused more damage than good and that it was a waste of money and they would not recommend the procedure. It caused acne breakouts and that they now suffered from melasma (discoloration of the skin). However, it is unknown whether or not the patients continued with the prescribed full treatment of repeated sessions to get the maximum results. It is also unknown if these patients were made fully aware of Fraxel laser skin treatment side effects and gauged whether it worth it to proceed depending on their skin condition.

As stated, the level of satisfaction of Fraxel laser skin treatments depend on the type of skin problem that the patient is suffering from, the severity, the experience of the dermatologist, and the patient's own healing process. A lot of these factors can be revealed by research and during the consultation process with the dermatologist. Make sure you have all your questions answered by the dermatologist regarding Fraxel laser treatment.

  1. I have heard a lot about Fraxel laser treatment but not sure how effective it is in skin care but I hope it gives way to people who have been dealing with more infectious diseases like staph skin infections.

  3. Thanks for the information, i read somewhere that Clinical studies suggest that for maximum result, it would typically take 3-5 sessions that are spaced 2-4 weeks apart. However the schedule will depend upon the doctor’s assessment of your condition. I am wondering though if any aesthetic clinic in Singapore could offer this treatment? what are the requirements to know that the clinic is credited.

  6. My skin looked much better before I had the Fraxel Lazer, now its all blotchy, I no longer have a pinkish hue,its unbelievable how it discoloured my skin tone. I can no longer wear foundation, it doesnt give me any coverage.Dr's fail to mention the negatives of Fraxel Lazer. I would suggest if you considering Fraxel Lazer insist on before and after pics, once you have documentary proof it will be very handy for a lawsuit.

  7. Greasy oil and dead skin cells make pore-clogged for which toxins can’t go out from our skin and that particular areas, as a result, become the perfect breeding ground for bacterial infection and acne blemishes.
For acne laser treatment therapy combines bi-polar radio frequency (RF) and blue light. This light spectrum and frequency are used to treat specific “target” conditions of the skin to destroy the active bacteria and slowing excessive oil production and active the healing process of pre-existing acne for leaving the skin with better texture.
but remember before haveing this therapy because many research have shown side effects of laser treatment, careful about that. You can cheek your doctors laser hair removal courses certificat
